  21. The native HD has a mounting plate located behind the DF1: floppy 
  22. position.  You can mount an HD on the DF1: mounting plate with no 
  23. trouble, USUALLY.  However, some drives (older Fujitsu models, for 
  24. example) do not fit in the same space as a floppy drive and don't allow 
  25. the case to be closed all the way.

  27. This is assuming, of course, that you didn't buy this used and the 
  28. previous owner left some hardware out.  It happens!

  30. At any rate, the short answer is "there is a plate in the 3000 that 
  31. should mate up to your hard drive.  However, you may need some spacers 
  32. between it and the plate."
